    Perfect Neutral colour

I can't wait to knit my grandson a grandpa cardigan with this. It looks mauve on my monitor but it is actually a beige/tan twist or marl.

    Nice Yarn

Posted by Ellen on 2021 Apr 6th

I crocheted a slouchy-type hat with this yarn. I was surprised how light-weight and silky the strands are. The recipient of the hat says its comfortable to wear because of its light weight and seems to like the brownish tweed colour. One gets a lot of yarn in one ball (251 yards) so I didn't have to worry about running out as I neared the end of the project. I didn't have any trouble with the yarn splitting and there were no knots in the yarn ball itself. As I used the puff stitch, my only complaint is the yarn didn't make compact puffs as it's so silky but maybe that's the way the yarn is supposed to "behave".?

    So Soft and so Light!!

I always love Lion Brand yarn. I have had great success and am so happy with feel of the finished object. I bought a ball of Heartland in turquoise before Christmas to make a toque. I fell in love with softness while I knitted. My sister's birthday is coming. She is very sensitive to things against her skin. She also loves browns so Grand Canyon was the perfect choice to make a soft throw on sweater. My order came in a week and I was happy with the 7.00 shipping charges. If I ordered from Lion Brands warehouse in New York State it was 25.00 shipping charges and not sure if I would get import fees on top of that.

    Heartland review

I found this yarn split a lot while crocheting. It made it a bit difficult to crochet smoothly without having to pull out stitches.

    Wrong colour?

Posted by Diane on 2020 Aug 12th

Maybe the picture is outdated and the new white labeled yarns are different colours from the old label but this is NOT the colour of the yarn I was sent! My colour is what I would call oatmeal/beige tweed and NOT the lovely light brown taupey tweed shown. The yarn was Okay to work with and I didn't have any trouble with knots or splittiness... just disappointed with the colourway!

    Knotted yarn

Posted by Alma Matchett on 2020 Feb 22nd

I liked this yarn for crocheting. It was soft and easy to work with. However l lost over 1 skein due to tight knots that ruined the skeins. When I pulled the yarn from the centre it came out in 3 junks and I spent 10 hours trying to unravel it and eventually had to discard it and order new yarn. The yarn was Lion Brand Heartland 122 Grand Canyon
