    24” Loom

Super fast delivery. Instructions for assembly were easy to use. The enclosed booklet, and on line instructions, were very helpful and I was able to setup the loom and complete my first project. I am looking forward to my next project and getting my edges and tension refined. I’m very happy with the quality and ease of use of this loom.

    Quality product

Posted by Jan Claude on 2022 Dec 26th

I am very happy with my purchase. I ordered a 24” loom which arrived in a very short time, even with the pre-Christmas rush. I had a question for the company which was answered reassuringly quickly. The loom was waxed and assembled easily (it is important to thoroughly read the instructions and pay attention to the diagrams and notes). I used left over yarn and made a simple scarf in order to learn the process and hone the technique for edges, tension, and how tightly to pack the warp. It turned out very well and was given as a gift. I have already ordered a 2nd reed for weaving finer yarns and am really looking forward to trying more projects.

    Worth the cost.

All the parts are really well machined and sanded. Everything went together smoothly. Works very well. I was warping and weaving in no time after only having done tablet weaving before. I will definitely be getting a second 7.5 heddle so I can do more complex weaves and perhaps a 10 heddle to do more dense fabrics with thinner yarn.

Ashford Looms Opened Up the Weaving World for Me

Posted by Raven on 2019 Jun 7th

Sometime back, when I decided to follow a longtime urge to add weaving to my crafts life, I was introduced to Ashford's products, and I have been revelling in them ever since. I have a 10" SampleIt loom, and a 24" rigid heddle loom, with reeds from 7.5 dpi to 15 dpi for each, pickup sticks and many shuttles to fill my creative fancy. All the Ashford products I have are well made, simple and practical in design, and I expect that they will last me for years. With the double heddle kit in place on both looms, I can now do finer work, more detailed designs, and even double width projects. While these looms may appear to be very simple, the possibilities are endless, and even 4-shaft loom designs can be converted and accomplished on them. (Not that I've tackled that challenge yet, but have read about it!) Also, when I'm weaving on the rigid heddle, I feel connected with all those weavers from back in time to the present day who work on simple looms. Grandiose computer-connected floor looms are not necessary in order to make beautiful things. It has been a pleasure to work with the folks at Yarn Canada. They have always been friendly and helpful, and orders are handled expeditiously.
