Love , love to use black Heritage with a co ordinating Tuffy colour for warm winter work socks that are very durable. Being Canadian produced and affordable is such a plus !!

    Good sturdy warm wool

Great for making warm winter hats. Rougher texture, but wears really well. I sent a hat knit in this to my friend in Newfoundland, he loves it.

True to colour with a rich texture

As this is wool, don't expect it to be too soft. But I think this will make very durable rugs!

    Fan of Heritage

Posted by JT on 2019 Dec 7th

I like this wool a lot. It's good quality Canadian wool and it is very affoordable. It is sometimes necessary to wash ahead of knitting as it is very low-processed wool. Good black.

    Rustic Canadian

Excellent minimally processed yarn with good colour. Blooms nicely after soaking and blocking. Final knitted product is warm and light. Highly recommend.

    Good hardy yarn

Posted by Lulu on 2017 Jun 7th

This is a natural yarn, not over processed, with a rustic character. But that's part of it's charm, and why I like it. Yes, you might even find the odd plant fibre but after you knit it and give it a good soak, it's appeal wins you over.

    Very poorly wound skein

Posted by Raevyn on 2016 Dec 30th

I wouldn't buy another one of these, the skein was such a pain to wind up into a ball getting tangled every full rotation. Not worth the trouble. It'd also really rough and scratchy it's going to need a few washes to soften up.
