sturdy, warm workhorse yarn, and still lovely
I ordered this yarn to add to other balls that I bought several years ago. I finally got around to making a cardigan with this yarn - a top down, raglan sweater from a Mary Maxim pattern that I'm sure is from the 1960s, judging by the hairstyle. You can still get it from Mary Maxim. This yarn is reasonably soft, sturdy, and warm. It works up nicely and I can see it will be a cardi that will last. I hope Berroco resists discontinuing this yarn - it's especially appropriate for all the new patterns showing up for a heavier weight yarn. These newer patterns are sporting more elegant lines and Berroco's Vintage Chunky has the attributes of a timeless yarn of quality.
