Love this yarn! To get the beautiful transitions, it's 4 threads together and they change colors one thread at a time. The knots are very small and easily hid in the work.
I generally prefer using a metal hook for my projects, and as long as you aren't crocheting in the dark, I don't have too many issues with splitting, but honestly, it's a small price to pay (keeping an eye on your hook for splits) for the turn out. It drapes beautifully, is soft, and any project you make is sure to turn heads.
This colorway has more black than pictured, but that's because the picture doesn't show the outside edge of the cake, and the blue is more of a teal, but otherwise, the colors are true to the picture.

lovely to work with .... nice feel .... skill level intermediate or a brave beginner with a wood hook for good catch.... i am seasoned and found the metal hook just not substantial enough to deal with splitting ... the colours are so stimulating and joyful.... real imagination provoking

This superfine yarn is super soft, drapes beautifully, and is easy to work with. I used large circular needles to get a variety of stitch designs into a lacy summer weight scarf and have had rave reviews from friends.
