The yarn feels nice both in the hand and knitted/crocheted. BUT it splits easily, the finished product gets fluff/pills and winds tighter as you go, so you have to stop and let it ease back to its normal state.

the black shade is slightly ‘clouded’ with thin charcoal fibers, which makes it look like a very natural black, with a slate- like feel to it. It is both soft and textured, but not itchy. There is a lot of volume in it, it’s easy to work too.
