Great value, it's a nice "rustic" yarn -- maybe a little too scratchy to wear right next to skin but perfect for other things.
It's hard to find commercial sources of pure wool these days. Thanks to Yarn Canada for stocking Briggs & Little and at a reasonable price. This wool is perfect for warm mittens and hats and cardigans.
Marie, its washable. You wash in washmashine and and I the dryer on low temp. It's safe. 20% acrilic will help to stay in shape.
Have just finished a sweater in mixed green Tuffy and I'm very pleased with the result. Now I'm trying to choose between that and forest green for my next project. This wool really feels and works up like a traditional fisherman's gansey and if properly cared for should last for years. My reservation (what prevents me from giving it 5 stars) is that it is not machine washable. I really like it and it is good value.
