The yarn is very soft and the color is just as pictured but it feels more like a fingering weight than a sport weight.

I love this baby marino wool. I am making a small woven belt for my toddler and it was so easy to work with. Even though my fingers are rough, thr yarn didn't catch on my fingers or fray while i worked with it. It is very fine and exactly what I was looking for, for my project. Thank you.
