Orange Atlantic Yarn (5 - Bulky) by Briggs & Little

I bought this for a sweater intended for outerwear by an outdoorsy guy. The pattern calls for this specific wool and it will be great because it is just so darn tough. My only concern is the colour is really inconsistent. I used all the same dye lot and yet it looks like there are multiple ones. The guy I'm making the sweater for won't care and I have ordered more of the Atlantic yarn in other colours, regardless of my concerns.

I have used this yarn to knit earlap hats for emergency workers and hunters. It is really a rug wool, so quite rough compared to their Regal or their other worsted wt. yarns, which are softer and lovely to work with, nevertheless hats in this wool yarn are warm in winter!

I haven’t gotten too far but this is knitting up nicely into what will be a heavy sweater. I’ve always loved Briggs and Little but some may find it a bit rough. I have found tiny twigs still in it.
