Excellent Recovery
I knit a hooded cardigan with this 100% wool, part merino yarn. I hesitated to wash it because I've had problems with other wool yarns going flaccid when washed--losing the garment's shape. In fact, this cardigan looked better after washing! I was able to easily straighten the corners so they don't curl. I had turned the sweater inside out and rolled it up, putting it in a mesh wash bag in the washing machine with the lowest water level, with Eucalan. After soaking I just put it through the spin cycle, then in the dryer on medium for 15 minutes. It was still fairly damp to be arranged on a foam mat to finish drying. It's a very soft yarn, so it does pill easily. The colour is a deep plum, a combination of bright pink and green. As a bonus, this is the best yarn for felting, so I also made a pork pie hat. The long hooded cardigan only took 6.5 skeins.

Love that yarn!
I have already knit Patons Classic Wool worsted so I know that yarn. This is why I ordered this yarn to knit my Citadel Cardigan, a pattern by Joji Locatelli. The color and the rustic yarn is perfect for this cardigan. It is rustic, but it is softy in a certain way. I love it!
