"ragg" is a marl of two natural colours. Looks beige with warm overtones when knitted. Pairs well in a garment with either or both of the base colours. Love Briggs & Little yarn. Made in Canada
Great for socks and mittens.
Wish I could post a photo of the hats I knit using this Ragg yarn. They have received compliments from the group Canadian Knitters. This is a Canadian product and I want to support our Canadian manufacturers. This is also a natural product (woo) and I want to support that also. I am going to order more of this yarn when I get my stash used up.
So I ordered a bunch of Heritage Yarn in the "Ragg" color (it was on sale) not knowing what I was going to do with it. It is 2 ply virgin wool and I've never worked with it before. It is a little rough (as virgin wool is) so opted to crochet a blanket that I can wrap myself in while sitting around a camp fire =)... I was worried it might be too itchy/rough as a garment that would go next to my skin. The "ragg" color was pretty close to the picture shown above. One strand of grey, one of cream. ( It looks like dirty oatmeal once it's worked into something.) Another great Canadian product from the oldest wool mill in Canada. Would definitely consider another purchase.
