You can make wonderful blankets with B&L! I've just finished a wrap/lap blanket with a bit less than 4 hanks and really enjoyed the colour. The yarn was very consistent and there wasn't much grass in it. I soaked the blanket in Eucalan in a mesh bag in the washer, put it through the spin cycle, then in the dryer for 10 minutes, and it blocked easily. I had previously made a large blanket with Heritage and that turned out well too. I find that B&L wears better than the softer yarns.
This looks like lovely wool, but the colour is lighter than in the picture. Also it is a bit scratchy - not a problem, as it will probably make a lovely jacket (with perhaps a cotton lining? - I'll have to see). Haven't started the project yet, but looking forward to it.
There were way too many bits of grass and sticks in this skein, and it took awhile to get them all out! I had several small piles of organic matter. Otherwise, the colour is beautiful, and knits up well.
