It is the softest (and I quickly ordered 2 extra balls in order to finish the Ripple and Ridge afghan), but sections of the ball very easily separate into strands which become apparent, unknittable and I have to cut out and rejoin. Also knots appear along the way--another cut-- and rejoin. And because of loose twisting of the strands, you wind up with many more ends to be dealt with--and finishing off by weaving in is a challenge with the loose strands. Am doing the other sections of afghan with Super Chunky Gray and Pumpkin. Not as soft as Beyond, but not as much trouble. I'm hesitant to try any other Beyonds..
