This for me is a staple yarn to have in stock.

This yarn is my new favorite for knitting toques in the Fair isle way. It makes a great background for most of my toques.

    Morer later

I have just begun to wind the yarn so I cannot really review the product. As I use it and I have used Briggs and Little yarns before so I expect all will be fine. It always starts out feeling a bit scratchy but after blocking I hope it will soften.

An old fashioned yarn, but what a yarn.

Solid, sturdy and honest. Knitting with any of the Briggs and Little yarns is a rewarding experience, though the drape may appear stiff at first and the handling could be softer and less scratchy, it blooms beautifully once washed and softens to a warm beautiful fabric...it has been my go-to yarn for comfy and warm sweaters. Being a tight knitter, i have often cursed this wool, especially when knitting stranded patterns, but then again, i curse alot when knitting any stranded pattern. Despite this, the results are always great and this yarn, in any of its forms is well worth the detour. I wish they produced more colours but the colours they have are good, and the price cannot be beaten. A+

    sturdy, rustic wool

Great, hard-wearing yarn that softens once you wash it. Excellent selection of colours. It's woolen-spun, which means it's light but warm.

    Its Ok

It is thinner than I expected and it has a smell that gave me a headache to work with, not sure if the smell is from the dye used or something else.

    Repeat Briggs & Little customer

I love all Briggs & Little yarn. I particularily love this colour. It is a neutral colour that goes with everything. I love this yard so much because it looks and feels like real wool. It knits up beautifully, is warm and very reasonably priced. I love that its a Canadian product too. I almost exclusively knit with this brand.

Nice stitch definition. Same look and feel as much more expensive US yarn...but don't tell anyone...
